Welcome to Oxenhope Recreation F.C.

Oxenhope Recreation Football club was originally founded in 1912 as Oxenhope United, playing in the Keighley & District League . Playing in a field at Lower Isle Farm, Leeming, the home of Clifford Coates, Former Club Chairman, Long time Club Secretary and Life Long supporter. Oxenhope United were Re-named Oxenhope Recreation Football club in 1932 following relocation to the present ground and our now famous or Infamous Sloping Football pitch, winning the Keighley & District Division 2 title their first trophy, four years later in 1936.

In 1953 the club joined the Craven & District League enjoying a period of success in the late 1950's and 1960's winning several trophies under the Captaincy of Duncan Frazer our Now Club President. The first Team won the title Five times in eight years, the league cup four times including a League and cup double.

The second team won the 2nd Division four years in succession during the years 1961 - 1964 , achieving the league & Cup Double during the 1961 season. In 1963 the club built our pavilion providing excellent changing facilities together with Committee room and referee's room . The Pavilion was recently re- named The Clifford Coates & Duncan Frazer Pavilion in recognition of their services to the football club.

In Recent years under the leadership of Paul Breary ( The Breary Babes) the First Team playing in the Craven & District Football League won the League Title in 2003 after a wait of 37 years and in recent seasons with a have followed up this success by winning the League and Cup Double in 2004-2005 & 2005-2006, Treble Winners 2006-2007 &  2007- 2008 Northern Plant Hire Trophy & League Cup Trophy.

The Second Team have also won the Craven League First Division Title in 2006-2007 under the leadership of Mick Butterfield.

The First Team have now joined the West Yorkshire Football League & the Second Team are Playing in the Craven & District Football League Premier Division.

'ON THE LEVEL' is the new Committee objective to improve the facilities at the recreation Ground by trying to level The Famous Sloping pitch which has put fear into many good opponent and are currently in negotiations with Bradford Council & The Parish Council to Raise funds to make this happen ...watch this space....
